This policy explains what information Raising a Golden (raisingagolden.com) collects and how it is used.
Email list
If you sign up for our emails or free downloads, we collect your email address and anything else the form asks for, such as your first name or your puppy’s birthday. We use it to send the emails you signed up for. Our email service is Kit (kit.com). You can unsubscribe from any email at any time.
Affiliate links and cookies
Some links go to retailers such as Amazon and Chewy. If you click one, the retailer may set cookies to credit us for a purchase. Their own privacy policies apply on their sites.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted by Hostinger and served through Cloudflare, which process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
Comments
If you leave a comment, the name, email address and comment you enter are stored, along with your IP address, to help with spam detection.
Analytics
We use two tools to see how people use the site, so we can make the guides more useful. Neither one is used for advertising.
- Google Analytics 4 counts visits and shows us which pages people read, how they found the site (for example a search engine or an AI assistant), roughly where they are (country or city, not an exact address), what device and browser they use, and which buttons they click, such as the retailer buttons and the 90-Day Plan signup. It uses cookies to tell new visitors from returning ones.
- Microsoft Clarity shows us heatmaps and recordings of how pages are scrolled and clicked, so we can spot confusing layouts. Clarity masks what you type into forms, so it never records your name or email address.
To opt out of Google Analytics on every site, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To opt out of Clarity, block cookies from clarity.ms in your browser settings or use a tracker-blocking extension. You can also clear or block cookies for this site in your browser at any time. Google’s policy is at policies.google.com/privacy and Microsoft’s is at privacy.microsoft.com.
